After switching the LCD everything worked fine. Now the customer has used the phone for about 3-4 months, and the touch ID doesn't work at all now.

What I did:

1. Removed the LCD.

2. Removed the home button and put it back.

3. Put the LCD back on.

I tried it again when I got onto the phone, and it started registering my finger for about 2-3 times, then it stopped again. I think it might have something to do with the vibration motor?

Tried hard reset and resetting settings, still not working now.

what IOS is it on now?  Did the customer update IOS in the 3-4months?  if so did the touch ID stop around the same time?

Didn't get to check what iOS it was, but right before giving it to the customer, it started working again. Very weird, but haven't gotten a complaint since that. I did turn it on and off right before, so that might've been it.
