Since fitting the screen, periodically the screen is unresponsive, see

A hard or soft restart temp fixes it, but it returns. I've been fitting screens for years, someone told me it's a ploy by Apple to force you to get screens replaced by them, as the screens need calibrating with their machine.

Any help appreciated.

I want to bring clarity , touch screen works in all variants ,
Buy a repaired original The 3D function must be calibrated . On the copies it works ...
I suggest you buy a good copy , you can even do it here , do not recommend FX5 , because we need e prom programing ,
simple copy , aftermarket ... a percentage of it will help 60 , 40 percent touch ic problem ...

I actually purchased SKU- RBSKU6508https://www.replacebase.co.uk/for-apple-iphone-8-plus-lcd-touch-screen-digitizer-assembly-with-components-no-home-button-black, but the video above showed my issue so didn't make my own

After the video what the problem is and is it - yes
I allow it to be a poor quality screen , i don't see black in the test ...
If you claim that black works the same way - try it

Try itunes mode installing ios , then we will know the problem (Driver problem)...

But experience says it's spoiled TOUCH IC....

I've done the force restart, the screen works for a while then it freezes again, the old screen, all be it cracked worked fine which was a replacement screen.
I'm in contact with RB about it, but just wondered if anyone else has had the issue, if so was there a resolution.

If the old one works then the problem with the drivers - try itunes mode installing ios ...
If not help then - poor quality screen ...(Touch Sensor IC Chip M5500 Controller)
The future has purchased this device , because from the eighth model and up so no surprises .

To confirm my theory I search the Internet for information ...
If we don't use programmers - driver incompatibility...
Way out of this situation - recovery, reinstallation, factory reset...
Doesn't work the original screen - ic problem ...
ic.jpg
it's not my or this company ( RB ) idea , the manufacturer protects his product from cheap repairs ...
