Hi

I have replaced my charge port, home button v3 (haven’t got that working yet) and my screen. The charge port works, home button doesn’t, and I have no volume control buttons. I’m running latest iOS and have checked the basic settings etc. So before I rip the phone open again, what should I be looking out for as to the reason why the volume control buttons don’t work?, home button I will just re-instal later as feels a bit tight and maybe that is the reason for that not working.

Lots of questions at once , i understand beginner , Then let's go ...
Changing the port checking the microphones - Captures video from the front and rear camera ...
In Utiles folder find the Voice memos , to try ... With the ios12, you could test the performance of the ear sensor while recording -
the screen remains black if your finger is covering the sensor ... With ios 13 it doesn't work ... Make a call for test ...

If sensor not work , need a new front camera...

Check the compass and level - here are the sensors again ...

Sounds buttons - if there is one volume button working , then adjust the sound on the screen ...
VOL1.jpg
Or simply swipe your finger up from the bottom of the screen ...

VOL2.jpg
But if there is no volume cable , then the phone will not work because this cable has a rear microphone ...
But if all is well with cable then problem with a button - looking for your orginal housing , you do not have caps on the button ...

Home button - no experience with the third generation , it must work , since no Bluetooth connection is required ...
set phone by factory settings , and start over install phone ... If it will not solve the problem - Our customer email address is:

It will help ...

Home button on screen - Settings > Accessibility > Touch > AssistiveTouch on > AssistiveTouch ...
a new icon will appear on the screen , which can move in all directions ...

It would be good if you knew the original screen brand in the future...
