Lee
I've just replaced a screen on an iPhone 6S with a brand new screen but I get no picture on the screen.

I know it is powered on though as iTunes sees it when i connect the iPhone to my laptop using the USB cable. Also whenever i plug in the power cable it vibrates.

I have done a restore using iTunes which also updated the OS to the latest version (10.2.1) but this has not resolved my problem.

I have put the old cracked screen back on but now get the same issue with that screen as well which is leading me to think that the issue is not with the screen.

Any one able to help with this and provide me with any information on what could be causing this to happen?

Thanks for your help in advance.

Hi Lee, if the battery wasn't unplugged before doing the screen change you may  have blown fl4211 or worse something else on the backlight circuit, if you check just above the lcd connector at the top right you may see some melting of maybe the filter peeking out??

sorted out in private message and being seen to.

I agree with Bytesize, always disconnect the battery before removing the screen on the iPhone 6S, otherwise you normally blow some part of the backlight circuit.  This then needs specialist microsoldering attention.

I so agree with bytesize, disconnect the battery. I have made it a rule to always disconnect the battery (where possibly) before any repair attempts

This has just happened to me, followed the top tutorial on youtube on how to replace screen but he didnt mention to disconnect battery first.. I guess I'm also unlucky as my friend recently followed the same tutorial and didnt disconnect the battery but his worked fine.

How much to repair this issue then please?
