Hi, i have a iPad Pro 12.9" screen repair coming up soon, and were wondering i any of you have some "hacks" when doing this?

- i have already watched alot of videos of the repair itselves, with the microsoldering. And have now practised on about 40pcs of ligning flex (for the iPad mini)

- if i am not totally wrong, then i have to be carefull about the LCD-Board (or whatever its called). As it is, if i am right, not possible to outsource this part?

Sorry if my english i a bit rusty.

Apriciate any tips and tricks when doing this👍🏻

Most iPad pro replacement screens come without the flex pre soldered, in my experience you will need some soldering skills to attach the flex

Thank you for your feedback.

Dean: Maybe it is possible to order the screens with presoldered flex, do you know were to source this part with the presoldering? - And i dont no, maybe it is not refered to as microsoldering, but what i have seen so far on youtube ect. all the replacement needed Soldering😊

bytesize: That i also what i have found out so far, i am already siting with the replacement screen now, and it definately needs to be sondered. Have you tried this job?

I haven't found anywhere that supplies the iPad pro screen with the flex presoldered, I do them all day long, you can practice soldering on the iPad mini IC before attempting a screen this expensive but it is straight forward soldering

All the above posts pretty much sum up the repair - I've done a couple and I can't source pre-soldered parts anywhere and as I don't do micro soldering I've had to Send the parts off to some clever guys I know who do my micro soldering. That's the only tough part the actual repair is easy.

When you first strip the screen it hinges back on itself vertically and there's a small tolerance for the cabling to be removed and refitted. And for the newly soldered connection to be worked with.

Its one of the easiets iPads to do if you can
solder. I can't but it's easy cos I send that part to someone else.

Hope this helps.

No worries I do all my own mini screen IC anyway, I've seen to many pre soldered that I've had to fix with dead spots or ghost screen plus I save £14 a screen for 5 minutes work

Just a word of warning from my own personal experience.

Replacebase screens are significantly more reliable in my purchasing experience that iparts-4-u. In fact i'ver never had a problem with Replacebase, iparts4U i've returned a good few. They are a great company with good customer service but i've been disappointed by their iPad screens overall.

I completed a screen repair to iPad Pro 2nd Gen but had minor fault on screen, removed and returned for replacement part which took some time due to the
stock levels. Recently received replacement, and tested but nothing happening. Left on charge overnight , still nothing. Disconnected battery, still nothing. Any ideas guys?
