Steve
Hi all,

Just wanted to pop a quick note on here as a few people have been asking!

we now have battery testers in stock! they are great to test the iPhone range (and one of the testers supports the Apple Watch and iPad too) and also great to use to test customers phones and show them more detailed info about the battery health.

Both testers we have show core function of the battery:

  • Cycle count (how many times the battery has been charged / discharged)
  • Design capacity (what mAh the battery SHOULD have)
  • Full capacity  (what mAh the battery actually has!)
  • Remaining capacity (how much juice is currently in the battery)
  • Battery life (% of usage, for example a battery at 90% life is not able to hold 10% of its designed capacity)
  • Charge Current
  • Discharge current
  • Current
  • Voltage
  • Battery Temperature (handy to check the sensor works, often batteries that cause unexpected shut downs are caused by faulty temperature sensors)
  • Chip type (if it's original or not)
  • Manufacturer (what factory made the battery, assuming they logged it on the chip)
  • Serial number (if it has one, most aftermarkets don't have these programmed)

Yes, we are looking for these however they seem to limit to just a couple of models making them less cost effective per unit. I will be sure to keep this thread updated with any new versions

Hi there ,

we have just purchased your battery tester. as there are no instructions in the box i have just been playing with it.

have worked out the first screen, data and functions.

battery health, mah current and original values, charge cycle count and the ability to reset it.

do you have any information on the second screen? from what i can see we can change the charge cycle count number and the battery health, so can put a low health battery back to 100% or increase the charge cycle... i can only presume this is to test the battery health is correct as it should drop back down to the same % health after use.

are there any other screens to access? i have tried various button combos. also, for the discharge test, do we just leave it connected to the tester  and let it discharge by itself?

We have taken a look at the tester, but to be honest we literally only use these to test battery health, we don't use all of it's features. We will contact our supplier and see if we can get hold of a instruction manual.

if you hold down the right button for a couple of seconds it brings up another menu.

as mentioned in my other post you can change the battery health % in a range of 80 to 110 and the charge cycle count can be also be modified and then written to the battery.
